A Canadian rapper, record producer, and actor. His outstanding achievements have led to him be referred to as the "Godfather of Canadian hip hop". In 1989 he became the first Canadian rapper to have a Top 40 hit with "Let Your Backbone Slide".
“Let Your Backbone Slide” was released in 1998 as a part of Maestro Fresh Wes’ album “Symphony In Effect”. In 1990 Maestro was awarded with “Best Hip Hop Video” at the MuchMusic Video Awards for “Let Your Backbone Slide”.
